After reaching a crossroad in my financial life I felt the need to consult with a Financial Advisor, and not knowing which way to turn, Robert’s name was mentioned. Having already had some unfavourable experiences with other Advisors in Melbourne, I was initially hesitant to try “another one” when I found myself having to make a significant financial decision quickly. I contacted Robert for advice. As a novice (and still am) Robert’s ability to clearly explain what and how he would take me forward put me at ease and filled me with confidence. Since then, I have had nothing but good consultation from Robert and his wonderful and experienced team. Their approachability, friendliness and trustworthy professionalism is the best around.

It may sound like a cliché, but it must be said that if you need any financial advice Robert Goudie and his staff are the answer. Almost 10 years ago I transferred my superannuation portfolio into Robert‘s hands, with one of Robert’s first recommendations being that I take out an Income Protection Policy. The cost seemed slightly high with monthly payments, however as with any insurance, it’s only when it’s needed that you realise whether the money you have spent is worth it. WORTH IT, was an understatement when I became ill and unable to work, with two children and a wife to support. The income protection policy Robert had recommended has definitely saved my family from extreme heartache and financial despair. Robert’s expertise, honesty, knowledge and professionalism, is what has saved my family and I from what I could only describe as poverty.

I’ve always found Rob to be very knowledgeable and helpful. What I like best is that it doesn’t matter if you’re one of the richest people around, or a battler – he treats everyone equally. The same applies if you have a simple little question or need in depth advise.

With the recent passing of my husband, it was hard to know where to turn for advice. Ashley has given me advice in areas including superannuation, investment, and government assistance. Rob Goudie is an excellent financial advisor, and I can say that with authority from having employed many other financial advisor services and I found them all completely lacking. Nothing was specific, they took your fees but gave no service, and were hard to contact and difficult to understand. Rob Goudie and the whole Consortium Private Wealth team are nothing but professional, helpful and there is never any issue with any question I have. I finally feel in control to help us make money for the future, with a privatised service that caters specifically for us. I feel we are continually moving and changing our portfolio to suit the markets- and this keeps us feeling in touch and in control of what’s happening. The stress and the feeling of being unsure are gone, and the feeling of being in control of my financial destiny- thanks to this excellent team, is here to stay!
